In this issue, the client’s father quit his job as a data analyst to focus on raising his children and chose to become a full-time dad. In the current "chicken baby" atmosphere, he refused all tutoring classes, hoping to protect his daughters' free time, protect their interests and hobbies, and train his twin daughters to become doubles tennis champions.
The father hopes that his daughter can grow up carefree, but the house at home has many shortcomings. Not only does the daughter lack a private space for growth, but it also fails to realize the younger daughter's wish to invite friends to play at home.

For this reason, my father contacted the program team and wanted to renovate the house in 14 days to provide a better living environment for the family and to give his mother, who has been working hard, a surprise.
After communicating with the family, Wu Junyi, the designer who remodeled them, hoped to expand the public space in the living room, gather the bookshelves in each space into one area, and also hope to create a place that can be used in the guest room.The area for practicing tennis swings in the hall is used to create a multimedia study space for the education of two children and to meet the needs of dual bathrooms.

The design needs to be adapted to local conditions and people's conditions, and should be simple rather than complicated, and should be natural rather than carved. We do not deliberately focus on the formal sense of "design", but let people experience the beauty of design and the feeling of being respected. Design is not just about stacking materials and placing furnishings, but about life. And life happens to be the original intention of design. Design serves people's lives, follows aesthetic interest, and presents and completes an aesthetic space that suits people's needs today.
Questions before transformation
When designer Wu Junyi came to the site for inspection, he discovered more problems with the house:
1. The public area of the guest restaurant is small; 2. The kitchen has many things and is small, making it inconvenient to operate;
3. Dad’s classroom space is very cramped; 4. A small bedroom is forcibly used as a storage room; 5. Although the bathroom is separated from dry and wet areas, the internal space is cramped; 6. There is no extra storage space at home;

The time available for renovation is limited, and the space that can be transformed is only 75 square meters. How will the designer help this family of four complete the space re-planning and achieve ultimate storage? How will he satisfy the family's basic needs while opening up as much space as possible for his daughter's social interactions and interests?

The first step in a home renovation plan is to reorganize the function of the space. Designer Wu Junyi decided to integrate the children's room into a multi-functional media teaching space, and then used the original storage room on the north to increase the area of the children's room.
By adjusting the opening position and closing method, various spaces are connected and reorganized to increase the fun and convenience of the space. The overall adjustment of partial door openings opens up the space and increases interactive relationships, giving the family of four more possibilities for communication.
Dad’s favorite blue color was chosen as the visual focus of the space environment color. Cloisonné, a traditional color, is both mysterious and intelligent. It collides with the wood color of the space, just like the father’s unspeakable deep love for this home. love.
At the same time, cloisonné is used on the surface of interior doors, the backboard of bookcases, and the decorative backboard of the bedroom tea area. In this quiet space, blue silk high-temperature soft pressing technology is also used to echo, bringing A more different visual presentation. It has some finishing touches.

The winding ceiling connects the north and south, connecting all the spaces in the home. Not only that, the design of the curved ceiling also echoes the twin sisters’ tennis expertise. The solid wood furniture has a bit of an old-time feel, retro yet unique.
Although the living room is not a symmetrical layout, there is a beauty hidden in order. The traditional etiquette rooted in Chinese culture is conveyed through the spatial layout.
The bookcases in the living room are a row of 7-meter-long cabinets, which not only perfectly solves part of the storage problem. From this, the entire living room can also be connected to the bathroom to form a complete visual extension.
The new home has strict classifications in the cabinet design, including kitchen cabinets, bedroom cabinets, shoe and hat space, basic storage, daughter storage, and the respective clothing and hats of the male and female owners.
The previously small kitchen no longer existed, and my mother had a new world to show off her skills. Not only that, the designer also thoughtfully prepared a shoe washing machine for the two babies, hoping that they will become more and more courageous not only in learning but also in sports.
Life lasts only thirty thousand days, and you only have half a day to spare. The dining room is the most relaxing place at home, and it can also be said to be the most ceremonial place. The dining room and living room adopt an integrated design, which not only ensures sufficient light in the interior, but also makes the spatial pattern more transparent and open.
What impressed the designer the most was the sudden idea that came to him when he was close to completion. The mirrored glass frame opens up the relationship between the dining room and the bathroom. It can also take over the sustenance of a family, allowing them to write down memorable days or things on used tennis balls and throw them into the glass frame. Little by little adds up to more. It’s a memory of a family’s past.
Although the designer did not deliberately emphasize the formal sense of "design" during the renovation process, the beauty of the new home can be felt in every corner of the home.
Every girl has a princess dream. The place where the princess lives is either a castle or a dreamy pink world. The renovated home not only allows the two daughters to have their own entertainment and learning world, but also allows the parents to have their own private space.
The same is true for education and design. They need to adapt to local conditions and people's conditions. They should be simple rather than complex, and should be natural rather than carved.
This transformation not only perfectly solved the troubles of the twin sisters, but also triggered the public's thinking on the way of raising children through the educational concept of stay-at-home dads. Q: The Jisu Xinxin Home project is a design project with an ultra-short cycle and is subject to program effects. In such a very special project, how do you balance your design style, design habits and project needs? A: This is a very challenging project. Even if it is an ultra-short-term project and is subject to program effects, what we want to present to the owners and even the audience are works that we have devoted all our energy to complete. The project is located in Hangzhou, Hangzhou It used to be the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty. In terms of spatial elements, we tried to refine the concept of Song Dynasty aesthetics and used the color of cloisonné to collide with the wood color of the space. Through the concept of garden winding paths leading to secluded spaces, we tried to create space within the building. The concepts of multiple changes, visual impact, and simplified environment are integrated into it. On the basis of ensuring the needs of the owners, the design dimension is improved to create a deeper interactive space and a space for future growth.
