This stunning Soori Bali beachfront villa complex was designed by SCDA Architects, which is renowned in Asia and the world. The design of Soori Bali fully takes into account the concept of green and sustainable development. Before the plan was conceived, the design team conducted an on-site inspection of the area and built it in a way that would cause minimal damage to the environment, minimizing the building area while maximizing views of the surrounding beaches, sea and rice fields.
In addition, the concept of "microclimate" is also taken to its extreme here.
Considering that this is a sunny area, the main orientation of the buildings is north-south, with some adjusted a few degrees east to absorb the morning sunlight. The openings on the north-south faces are maximized to facilitate natural lighting, and the west Large openings on the side are minimized to reduce heat gain during the day, the insulation system of the overhanging roof and deep ledges are used to reduce heat, and "cool colors" are used in the selection of materials such as paint and stone to minimize heat energy gain. .
Windows are placed on both sides of each room plane and at each end of the villa to promote effective cross-ventilation and introduce fresh air into the indoor space; the positions of flower stands, shrubs and taller trees have also been precisely adjusted. Avoid obstructions to ventilation, thereby reducing reliance on air conditioning systems.
The planning, construction form and details of each villa unit have been carefully considered to create a comfortable and energy-saving resort lifestyle.
The extraction of local cultural elements and careful research on material design are very consistent with SCDA's consistent methods, and are naturally reflected in this case.
The entire villa complex is built following the natural terrain and will be suitable forLocal plants adapted to the local climate are used as materials to create soft landscapes, aiming to achieve a seamless transition between exterior hardscape and softscape designs. Wood, as the main material, plays a key role in creating hidden spaces, private pavilions and public areas.
A harmonious balance is achieved between the building’s clean, modern lines and the soothing tones and textures of the interior and exterior finishes. The restaurant terrace and spa facilities are designed with terracotta-coloured barriers, which create a clear visual contrast when combined with dark terrazzo floors and feature walls clad in dark gray volcanic lava stone.
A light gray volcanic stone called Paras Kelating was applied to the feature wall at the edge of the pool, combined with soft beige and warm gray textured paint to complete the palette.
Smooth terrazzo walls and floors, hand-brushed natural wood screens, soft silk upholstery and custom-designed dark wood furniture create a peaceful and soothing interior that perfectly blends traditional Balinese style with a modern holiday villa .
